My EW has been crashing for years. Today it crashed when opening a file, saving a file, refreshing the view, and when it re-opened itself after crashing. I am out of warranty and do not have the money for Microsoft to fix it. I imagine those "majority of users" that "don't" have the problem really do, like me.
Microsoft created a program that has more than a few people pulling their hair out. They should be offering us something. We had faith in them that this program would be as great as Frontpage and invested the money in the program. If I put out a product this crummy I'd be out of business. As it is, my business relies on my EW and I don't make enough to buy other programs and I don't have the time to learn them.
Why doesn't Microsoft have the attitude that they need to make their customers happy? Other companies would be contacting me to help me fix the problem. Sigh. As always, Microsoft is too big for their britches.
I came to the forums to see if there was a solution because the crashing is getting worse. I didn't check when it first started because I have had the experience that Microsoft only provides service packs and not actual solutions. As far as I can tell I have the only service pack, SP1. It's hard to navigate Microsoft to find out.
