EW, both versions two and three, are rock solid on both my XP and Vista Ultimate machines. If you're having problems with it, it is not logical to presume that it is EW's fault alone, otherwise everyone who runs it would have the same problems, n'est-ce pas? Any number of issues external to EW can cause problems, from outdated system dlls to video drivers to conflicts with other software.
Oh, and I also use Dreamweaver CS4, and MX before that. If you think DW is some kind of haven of trouble-free stability, you might want to hang around on the Dreamweaver groups and lists for a while. You will find that no app of the complexity of either EW or DW is completely free of warts.
cheers,

Plural's don't have apostrophe's. It seem's sometime's that any word's ending in "s" get a gratuitous apostrophe. Apostrophe's are used to indicate possessive's and elision's (contraction's or abbreviation's).
